About Portchester Shutters
Designed for security and stability, the Portchester range is our most durable shutter, offering a stylish solution whether inside or out. Being made of aluminium, with a powder-coated painted finish, Portchester bespoke shutters are just as comfortable adding security outside your house as much as inside.
Available in satin white, light grey and charcoal as standard, a custom colour option is also possible and can be matched to many popular paint company colours.
Manufactured in South Africa, where home security is a high priority, these robust shutters provide a stylish alternative to traditional security grilles, roller shutters or burglar bars.
89mm louvres offer fantastic light control, and a silent tilt as standard means that there is no visible tilt rod, making a sleek and contemporary design. Portchester shutters are available in a range of styles including full height, bi-fold and bypass.
There’s a hidden tilt rod, so the louvres can be operated by hand rather than by moving a rod up and down. This creates a sleek, modern design with elegant contours and clean lines.
Safety and style are delivered in equal measures with the Portchester range. It offers an additional layer of window protection if you want to enhance home security, but don’t wish to miss out on elegance. The only visible difference to our other ranges is that there are locks and keys.
When locked, the louvres still work as before but the shutter panels can’t be opened. So you can leave your windows open at night, or protect a more vulnerable window or room in your property with peace of mind. Portchester shutters provide a stylish, yet robust additional layer of protection to homes.
