Shutters help retain heat and give control over both privacy and light, increase your property’s kerb appeal and value, and offer an insulated barrier against heat loss. This insulating aspect means that they help your home stay that little bit warmer in winter and a few degrees cooler in the summer.
With different materials, colours and stains available, we know the best type of window treatment to match the individual needs of our customers, no matter what the home environment. Our shutters come in a wide range of carefully selected materials, including waterproof Java, hardwood Fiji, and aluminium Porchester, and all are available in variety of sizes and colours.
The wood, ABS and treated MDF shutter materials we supplier can be easily maintained and cleaned effortlessly too, minimising ongoing costs once they’re installed. As a form of window covering they are also one of the most energy efficient. The insulation provided means reaching for the thermostat that little bit less, whatever time of year it is.
We also offer a good variety of optional extras, such as integrated honeycomb blinds and motorisation, roof catches and track systems, meaning your shutters can be crafted exactly as you need them.
Our experienced team can provide insight across our whole range, as we all believe in providing excellent customer service and aftercare. Book a free home survey with Shuttercraft Lincoln and discover a choice to complement your interiors.
With the River Witham running through it, as well as the A607 road through Leicestershire and Lincolnshire, the village of Belton is thought to derive from the Saxon phrase meaning a “bell shaped hollow”. A church and settlement were recorded on the site since at least the Domesday Book of 1086, with most of the village eventually growing up around Belton House, a 17th century country house now owned by the National Trust.
There was a minor skirmish in Belton during the English Civil War, when in May 1643 Roundhead cavalry led by Oliver Cromwell clashed with Royalists forces at the south of Belton Park, to the east of Manthorpe. The local church register records that they “buried three unknown soldiers, slain in Belton fight”. It was this small victory that helped Cromwell decide that God was on his side, and that Parliamentary forces would eventually triumph.
Despite only having a handful of houses, Belton has a decent size garden centre, as well as a 4 star hotel, Belton Woods, that also features two golf courses covering over 30 holes, making it a wonderful place to stay and explore. People staying at Belton Woods may choose a more relaxing time however, and make good use of the Spa, Health club and restaurant.
There is actually another village in Lincolnshire named Belton as well as the one just outside of Grantham. In the north of the county, the same named village is just off of the M180 and is a few miles west of Scunthorpe. Best not to confuse the two!
