Plantation shutters are an ideal solution for windows but can also be used for a range of other purposes, such as for bespoke wardrobe doors or room dividers. Adding a layer to the windows when closed, shutters are great for additional insulation, as well as light control and privacy.
Whatever shape or style you may be considering, at Shuttercraft Norwich we’ll make sure that you find the right shutter to match your requirements and design choices. We happily fit and supply products throughout Great Yarmouth itself and surrounding areas of the Norfolk coast, working with our customers to make sure everyone is satisfied with both product and service.
Once a thriving hub of herring fishing, Yarmouth has a long and varied history, with settlements listed in the area dating back as far as Roman times. Many buildings have survived throughout the years, and the Tollhouse Gaol, now a museum attraction, dates back to the late 13thcentury and is one of the oldest civic buildings surviving in Britain.
Dominated by more than 15 miles of sandy beaches, the town is surrounded by large areas of countryside, and the nearby Norfolk Broads, which are fed by the rivers Yare and Bure. Despite being about 50 miles away from his birthplace at Burnham Thorpe, Yarmouth has a close association with Admiral Nelson, the famous naval leader, due to the Britannia Monument (pre-dating Nelson’s Column in London) and the Nelson Museum on South Quay.
Covered by the Great Yarmouth Mercury newspaper, the town has a strong rivalry with adjoining Gorleston over football. Other sports catered for in the area are horse racing, speedway and stock car racing, swimming, Pool and even hosts the Segway Grand Prix!
